Welcome to Fernando De Terán Vergara Professional Web Page
I defended my PhD at December 2007. The subject of the PhD was the perturbation theory of eigenvalues and canonical forms of matrix pencils (regular and singular), with some connections with the theory of orbits (by equivalence) of matrix pencils. Since then, I have extended my research interest to other problems of Linear Algebra. I am mainly interested in linearizations of singular matrix polynomials, in the polynomial rootfinding using companion matrices, in the theory of congruence orbits, in the solution of Sylvester-like matrix equations, in the change of the Jordan canonical form of permuted products of matrices, etc (see my list of scientific publications to get a closer idea).
