Welcome to Fernando De Terán Vergara Professional Web Page
My past and current research deals with spectral perturbation theory of matrix pencils and matrix polynomials (including low-rank perturbations), linearizations of singular matrix polynomials, the polynomial rootfinding using companion matrices, the theory of congruence orbits, the solution of Sylvester-like matrix equations, or the change of the Jordan canonical form of permuted products of matrices (see my list of scientific publications to get a closer idea).

From September 2016 to July 2022 I've been the Secretary, and member of the Executive Board, of the Spanish Society of Applied Mathematics (SEMA).

From June 2018 to June 1st, 2022, I've been the President of the Spanish network on Linear Algebra,
Matrix Analysis, and Applications (ALAMA).
